Architecture Photography: Castles to Concrete

Buildings, from medieval stone to modern concrete. The walls of Spiš Castle run along a Slovak hilltop, and the roofless ruin of Hore Abbey stands in the fields below the Rock of Cashel. In Riomaggiore, houses in red, ochre and pink stack up a cliff above the harbour, and in Warsaw a row of Old Town facades lines up under a sky full of pigeons.

Two are in black and white, including a viaduct that sweeps on tall piers above a town in the Douro Valley.
